At roughly 2 a.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to deal with a complaint about a vehicle in a ditch on Sunvalley Road.
The complaint was called in by a resident of that street who believed the driver had been drinking, according to police.
The officers found the 17-year-old Sudbury male was impaired and he was arrested at the scene, according to a release.
At the time of the accident the driver had several teenage passengers with him but no injuries were suffered, according to a release. The subsequent breath tests resulted in readings almost three times the legal limit.
The Sudbury youth, who cannot be identified, stands charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and blowing over the legal limit, according to police.
