19 charged with drug offences in city-wide sweep

On April 29, the Greater Sudbury Police Service announced 19 individuals have been charged with drug trafficking offences, following a three-month undercover street sweep by the OPP Drug Enforcement Section and the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

On April 29, the Greater Sudbury Police Service announced 19 individuals have been charged with drug trafficking offences, following a three-month undercover street sweep by the OPP Drug Enforcement Section and the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The sweep was conducted in the City of Greater Sudbury, Nairn Centre and Webbwood.

Cocaine and marijuana were purchased during the operation and charges are pending against three more individuals.

Charges include trafficking a controlled substance, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.

Those charged include: Jennifer Bortolotti, 36, Steven Grant, 24, and Aaron Delisle, 22, all of Webbwood, Sheldon Martin, 25, and Chad Bracken, 21, of Nairn Centre, Chris Procter, 21, of Espanola, Ronald John Rivers, 31, Jenal Pangowish, 21, Rose Lambert, 36, Denis Legault, 31, Clayton Cook, 24, Andrew Martin,18,  Michael Handley, 21, Johnathan Losier, 18, Gary Ross, 28, Thomas Seguin, 21, and Patrick Carew, 28, all of Greater Sudbury. A 15- and 17-year-old were also charged but cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
