Greater Sudbury Police officers were called to the area of Frood at Elm Street for a motor vehicle collision July 14 around 5:30 p.m.

Further investigation of the incident revealed that a blue Honda Civic had turned in front of a south bound tow truck.  As a result of the collision, the Civic received extensive damage.

After speaking to witnesses and conducting other follow-up investigation, officers were able to determine that the driver of the Civic was impaired by alcohol. He was then arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle.

Neither driver received injuries from the accident.

The accused has been released from custody pending a court appearance in early August 2009.
