The Lions Club Eye in the Sky program is about to add its 10th camera to assist Greater Sudbury Police observe criminal activity in the downtown core.

The new camera, donated by the Sudbury Lions Club, will be located on top of the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines building, located at 159 Cedar St.

The number of cameras allow the police service to monitor criminal behaviour in virtually every area of the downtown core, said police chief Ian Davidson.

There have been numerous complaints about the area near the ministry building and this new camera will make residents feel safer, said Davidson.
