Sudbury police have arrested a man in connection with the fatal stabbing of Roger Giguere at Park Hotel in Sudbury on August 1.
Henry Stefanczuk was arrested without incident in the afternoon of August 1 and charged with second degree murder.
The investigation is still underway.
Original - On Wednesday August 1, as a result of a 911 call, the Greater Sudbury Police Service attended the Park Hotel on Notre Dame Ave. Sudbury regarding a male party who had been stabbed, said a news release.
The victim was transported via ambulance to the Sudbury Regional Hospital where he received medical attention. The victim’s condition deteriorated throughout the evening. He was then transferred to the critical care unit.
The victim of the stabbing, Roger Giguere, succumbed to his injuries early Monday morning. A warrant for the arrest of the accused has been obtained by police, who is wanted by police on murder charges.
