UPDATE - Dec. 18, 2:20 p.m.

Michael Richards was arrested Dec. 17 without incident. Paul Beaudry has not been arrested.

Original Story

Two Greater Sudbury men are wanted in relations to a break and enter at a Valley East Hydro One property on Dec. 7.

Arrest warrants have been issued for 34-year-old Paul Beaudry and 27-year-old Michael Richards.

Investigation into the break and enter of the Hydro One property indicated that individuals cut through a fence and moved items from the property for easy access.

Beaudry and Richards are being sought on charges of break and enter and mischief.

Beaudry is described as white, 6 feet tall and 180 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

Richards is described as white, 5-7 tall and 165 pounds, with brown hair and eyes.

Theft of copper is an on-going problem in northeastern Ontario. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) released a warning in regards to the possibilities of theft in early November. There has been at least one theft in the Sudbury region since that release.

Copper is used to ground electrical equipment to avoid the risk of electrocution and shorts. Theft of grounding wires puts thieves, hydro workers, and general public at risk.

Anyone with information about Beaudry and Richards are asked to contact the Greater Sudbury police at 675-9171, or Sudbury Rainbow Crime Stoppers at 675-8477.
