A Huntsville resident, 49, was driving an 800 C.C. 4X4 Can-Am Outlander (picture below) when he failed to negotiate a curve on Bushy Bay Rd. The vehicle and occupant drifted off the roadway, striking a tree and fell approximately 2 meters down an embankment. The rider struck a large rock which resulted in fatal injuries.
Paramedics were airlifted to the scene but the driver had succumbed to his injuries prior to their arrival.
Greater Sudbury Police are at the onset of their investigation. Anyone with information pertaining to the collision or events leading up to the incident is asked to phone the Traffic Management Unit at 675-9171 ext 2209.
