A homeowner on Bancroft Dr. had an unwelcome guest trying to enter his home Thursday morning.
At 10:15 a.m. the man contacted 9-1-1 when he realized that a bear was attempting to enter the house through a window. He also contacted a neighbour who came over and shot the bear.
Police arrived and confirmed the bear had to be put down, as there was an immediate threat to human life. The Ministry of Natural Resources was also informed of the incident.
