Greater Sudbury Police attended to a report of an assault Saturday July 25 at about 11:30 p.m. at an apartment complex at 1960 Paris Street.
A police investigation revealed that a 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were both allegedly responsible for deploying bear repellent spray in the confines of the building.
The bear spray was deployed as a result of an altercation where the two suspects entered a residence looking for a man who was not present.
One of the men left on foot and was not caught by police. The second was caught by police, and remains in custody pending a bail hearing. This man is being charged with assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and threatening.
