Beer Store stop ends with impaired driving charge

An 18-year-old woman was arrested in front of the Lasalle Boulevard Beer Store during the evening hours of Oct. 13.

The Greater Sudbury police responded to a traffic complaint about an erratically-driven truck that was cutting off other drivers and weaving in and out of traffic. Callers directed the police to the Beer Store.

Police arrived as the woman driver was attempting to leave the parking lot of the store. She was stopped and found to be impaired.

After undergoing a breathalyzer test, the woman's breath results were almost three times over the legal limit for alcohol.
