Police recovered the body of a Sudbury woman Thursday morning following a prolonged search in the Killarney area.

Police recovered the body of a Sudbury woman Thursday morning following a prolonged search in the Killarney area.

The body of Vicki Landry, 30, was discoverd by an officer, who was part of a rescue team called in after Landry was reported missing on Saturday.

Police were called in after her vehicle was spotted near the lighthouse in Killarney. Police say they do not suspect foul play.

OPP members, including the Emergency Response Team (ERT), marine units and the OPP helicopter, were involved in the search.

?The body was located around 10:30 am,? said an OPP spokesperson Thursday afternoon.

?The search co-ordinator initiated a grid search in a high probability area near the woman?s vehicle...and an officer discovered the body.?

The case has been turned over the regional coroner?s office in Sudbury, he said.
