A three-vehicle collision on Falconbridge Highway Saturday afternoon, left one car on its roof, a second vehicle with a severely smashed front-end, and four people in hospital.

The four individuals were taken to hospital with minor injuries. They were kept for observation and treatment and released shortly after.

The third vehicle escaped with only minor damage to the front-end.

Police on scene said the southbound car was making a left hand turn into a private drive when it was hit by a northbound van and truck. The impact from the van flipped the car. Nobody was injured in the truck.

The four-lane road was cut down to two lanes while the Greater Sudbury Police Service Traffic Unit investigated the collision.

The driver of the car has been charged with failing to drive in a marked lane.
