Boy receives minor injuries after hit and run

A 17-year-old boy was sent to hospital with minor injuries Aug. 27 at around 2:30 p.m. after he was struck by a vehicle while he was walking near the intersection of Carl and Oscar Streets.

The driver of the vehicle was initially travelling east on Oscar Street and made a right turn onto Carl Street. As the vehicle completed the turn, it struck the boy, who was walking facing traffic.

The driver of the vehicle then drove south on Carl Street towards Cote Street without stopping or offering to help the victim.

The vehicle is described as black. No other description of the vehicle is available.
