Charges laid in Azilda fire

A young person, whose identity is protected through the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged in the Azilda Lumber Yard fire on July 6. An investigation led by Greater Sudbury Police revealed the fire was caused by arson.

An investigation led by Greater Sudbury Police revealed the fire was caused by arson. The youth has been charged with one count of mischief and one count of arson.

The lumberyard suffered about $25,000 in damages from the fire.
