Chelmsford spot checks result in several charges

One hundred sixty vehicles were stopped, and a roadside screening device used five times.

One charged was laid for driving with over 80 mg of alcohol in the blood, and a 90-day driver's licence suspension was issued to the offender.

Two highway traffic act infractions were also laid.
