Counterfeit money turned into OPP

The Manitoulin OPP was recently alerted by the Toronto Dominion Bank branch in Little Current that they had received a counterfeit $20 bill in the night deposits. It was determined the false bill had passed through local businesses in the area without suspicion, even though the bill’s security features were missing.

Constable Allan Boyd, community services officer with the Manitoulin OPP advises businesses should be making an effort to train their employees in counterfeit money detection.
