A cube van containing logging tools and equipment was found burnt by the Espanola OPP on March 25. The van was located at Hoogeveen Rd in Hallam Township.
Sometime between 4:30 pm March 24 and 6:45 am March 25, unknown person(s) attended the logging site and set fire to the van, which was completely destroyed. Damage to the property is estimated at $30,000.
Officers attended the scene with officials from the Massey Fire Department to investigate and gather evidence. An investigator with the Ontario Fire Marshal's office is also assisting in the investigation.
