Cyclist suffers serious injuries trying to maneuver a car

A male was riding his bike northbound on the east sidewalk of Regent St., on Aigust 9 at 5:10 pm, when he attempted to maneuver his bicycle around a motor vehicle which was exiting the Super 8 Motel parking lot, said a news release.

As a result, the bicycle collided with the east bound curb and caused the man to fall.

He was later transported to St. Joseph's hospital by ambulance with serious injuries.

The vehicle he had tried to maneuver left the area prior ro police arriving.

Witnesses identified the vehicle as being a mid-size, silver car. The only occupant was the driver who appeared to have long hair.

Police are asking the public's assistance in identifying the driver and vehicle as the driver may have more information regarding this incident.
