Discourage bears from visiting: police

Greater Sudbury Police are reminding the public to discourage bears from visiting their properties in the wake of a number of calls about nuisance bears in the Flour Mill area.

“Police would like to remind the public to be mindful of bears being attracted to garbage and other potential food sources (i.e. bird feeders and gardens) and act accordingly (placing garbage out only on days of pickup rather than the night before),” stated a release from the police.
