Driver fails to stop for police officers

A man is facing multiple charges after he failed to stop for police conducting community patrols on Lloyd Street Aug. 14 at around 1 a.m.

Police had tried to stop the man, who was driving a minivan, by activating their emergency equipment.

Officers were able to locate and charge the driver with failing to stop when directed by police, disobeying an officer directing traffic and driving a vehicle without a license.

The man is due to make a court appearance in September 2009.
