More than $125,000 of illegal drugs were seized by police after a drug bust on Pilon Cres. in Chelmsford.

Police say they received information in regards to a suspected marijuana growing operation and applied for search warrant, which was executed Feb. 13.

The tenant at the residence, a 25-year-old Chelmsford man, was arrested without incident at a traffic stop nearby.

Inside the residence police found 1,143 grams of marijuana bud, 787 grams of Psilocybin, 297 grams of marijuana shake, 99 marijuana plants ranging from seedlings to four feet tall, more than $12,000 in cash, a cell phone, two digital scales and clear plastic bags for packaging.

The suspect has been charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, production of a controlled substance and possession of property obtained by crime.

The bust was made by the Joint Forces Drug Unit which consists of members of Greater Sudbury Police, the OPP and the RCMP.
