Drunk driving suspect refuses breath test

A man who appeared to be so intoxicated that he could barely walk was observed by a bystander getting into his vehicle and driving away late at night on Oct. 18. The bystander phoned Greater Sudbury Police.

A man who appeared to be so intoxicated that he could barely walk was observed by a bystander getting into his vehicle and driving away late at night on Oct. 18.

The bystander phoned Greater Sudbury Police. The police later stopped the suspect on Mitchell Road.

The man allegedly refused to submit a breath sample, despite being asked three times, and then resisted arrest.

The suspect is facing charges of refusing to provide a breath sample for analysis and impaired driving.
