A man was arrested Saturday evening after assaulting another man in the area of Cyprus Street.
Around 8 p.m., police were informed that a number of intoxicated men were fighting and causing a disturbance.
Police interviewed the victim and witnesses after arriving on the scene. The victim was bleeding from a laceration to his left eye area, but refused medical treatment for the injuries.
The man responsible for the injury was arrested for assault and breach of a conditional sentence order.
The accused, whose name has not been released, was scheduled to attend a bail hearing on Sept. 28.
