Elderly male struck while crossing Ramsey Lake Road

Update - The male has now been positively identified as a 71 year old resident of Greater Sudbury. The Greater Sudbury Police Service Traffic Management Unit is investigating a collision that occurred on Ramsey Lake Rd. near Paris Cres.

Update - The male has now been positively identified as a 71 year old resident of Greater Sudbury.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service Traffic Management Unit is investigating a collision that occurred on Ramsey Lake Rd. near Paris Cres.  at 10 pm on Nov. 11.

An elderly male, between the ages of 60 and 70, was struck by a vehicle as he crossed the roadway. He has greyish short hair and was wearing a red rain jacket, a multi-coloured beret and black rubber boots.

He was transported to the Sudbury hospital's intensive care unit with undetermined injuries.

The police are unable to determine the man's identity and the public assistance is being sought. Anyone with information is asked to phone 675-9171, ext. 2415.
