Foul play suspected in man's death

UPDATE: The man found in the Hanmer home on Sept. 13 has been identified as 36-year-old Brian Burns. An autopsy confirmed the man died as a result of blunt force trauma.

UPDATE: The man found in the Hanmer home on Sept. 13 has been identified as 36-year-old Brian Burns. An autopsy confirmed the man died as a result of blunt force trauma.

The family of Burns have asked that their privacy be respected as they deal with their loss. 

The Forensic Unit remains on Pharand Street as they continue to collect evidence from the scene.

The Greater Sudbury Police Service is continuing to investigate the incident, and following up on leads.

Greater Sudbury Police are suspecting foul play after a man was found dead Sept. 13 in a Hanmer residence.

watch video clipAt around 12:20 p.m. police responded to a 9-1-1 call at the residence, and the deceased man was found. A autopsy was scheduled for Sept. 15.
