Police say sometime before Nov. 15, 2005, two books of purchase orders are stolen from an unknown location.

Purchase orders are in the name of Boart Longyear, whose head office is in North Bay.Between Nov. 15, 2005 and Apr. 25 2006, five purchases of office supplies including laptop computers are made by purchase orders at Staples Business Depot in Sudbury for a total of approximately $4,000.

Between Aug. 13 2006 and Aug. 29 2006, three additional purchases are made by purchase orders at the second location of Staples Business Depot in Sudbury; similar items, including computers, were purchased for a total of almost $4,000.

The purchases actually took place prior to the purchase order books being reported stolen.

The investigation is ongoing and video footage of the dates in question, from the two store locations, are available to police. Further details will be provided as descriptions of the suspects are confirmed.

Anyone with information is asked to phone police or Crime Stoppers at 675-TIPS.

Police remind all businesses who permit sales by purchase orders to confirm legitimacy of the documents and buyers at the time of purchase.
