Fugitive from robbery sought by police

A robbery suspect is being tracked by police. On Saturday morning, July 25, at 11 am, Greater Sudbury Police said in a release they were on the scene of a reported robbery at the Bancroft Centre Pharmacy, 1485 Bancroft Dr.

On Saturday morning, July 25, at 11 am, Greater Sudbury Police said in a release they were on the scene of a reported robbery at the Bancroft Centre Pharmacy, 1485 Bancroft Dr.

A culprit fled and is described as follows:
-Caucasian male
-25 to 30 years of age
-thin build with dirty blonde mid hair
-wearing beige ball cap, dark coloured pants and a white jersey with red writing
-carrying a small Rexall shopping bag

While in the store, the male brandished a knife and demanded a quantity of prescription medicine.

Greater Sudbury Police Sgt. Mike Chapman told Northern Life at about 2:30 p.m. that police were using a canine unit and would report any new information when available.
