Crime Stoppers and the Greater Sudbury Police Service are offering a guaranteed minimum $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of Jayson Wright.

On Jan. 24, police responded to a call regarding a robbery at a motel on Regent Street. The victim had attended with another person and the accused hit him with a gun and stole thousands of dollars, and his cellphone.

The execution of a search warrant yielded illicit drugs with a value of more than $55,000, police said, but Wright was not there. Also on scene was more than $25,000 in stolen property, including electronics, jewelry, tools and gift cards.

Wright is wanted for assault with a weapon, robbery using a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of property obtained by crime over $ 5,000.

Wright, 24, is described as standing 5-7 and weighing about 150 pounds, with shaggy brown hair and hazel eyes. Do not approach him as he may be dangerous, police said.

If you see him, please immediately call police at 911 or Crime Stoppers at 705 222-TIPS (8477) or 1 800 222-TIPS (8477).

Tips eligible to receive the reward must be made before midnight on Monday, Feb. 8, if the information leads to Wright’s arrest.

The $1,000 minimum reward will be divided if more than one successful tip is received. For tips received after the deadline, the standard process for determining reward amounts will apply.

If you want to provide information on the whereabouts of this individual or have any information about other criminal activity, and you want to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 705-222-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), or submit an online tip to SudburyCrimeStoppers.com.
