HIghway 17 has now been closed between Wahnapitae and Sturgeon Falls due to weather conditions. The reopening time is unknown.

A collision between a transport truck and a snowplow has closed Highway 17 between Verner and Sturgeon Falls.
A tweet from the OPP said the crash occurred at Beaudry Road in the Verner area and involved two vehicles and a tractor trailer. The highway is blocked.
Emergency vehicles are en route but the roadway is blocked and the highway is closed.
The OPP is warning that whiteout conditions are making driving treacherous on the highways.
Highway 17 will remain closed until the vehicles involved in the crash are removed and visibility improves.
