Three people have died as a result of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11, one kilometre north of Richfield Road, in the Temagami area.
The accident, which took place on March 25 around 3 pm, involved a southbound 1998 Chev Malibu and a northbound 1996 Plymouth Neon.
The three people were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Names are being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
The Ontario Provincial Police Technical Traffic Collision Investigators, Identification Unit, Temagami and Marten River Fire Departments and ambulance attended to give assistance.
Highway 11 northbound and southbound lanes were closed from approximately 3:35 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The investigation into this accident is continuing.
