Greater Sudbury Police and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry responded to a call at MacLeod Public School to remove an injured black bear from the area, police have said in a series of tweets.
Police said students at the South End school were safe inside the school when they arrived at the scene with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry.
In a tweet posted around 1:20 p.m, police said the bear was in the ministry's care and will be “transported out of the district when fit to do so.”
