KFC outlet robbed

The Kentucky Fried Chicken outlet on Kathleen Street was robbed at about 8:40 pm Monday evening. A lone male entered the store with a knife and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is about six feet tall and 150 lbs, with dark or tanned skin. He was wearing a grey hoodie with a white front, a red bandana on his face and black track pants.

Purse stolen from woman in downtown

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a purse snatching that occurred on Xavier Street in downtown Sudbury on Monday morning at about 2 am.

A lone female was attacked by an unknown male who stole her wallet. The victim sustained minor facial injuries and bruising to her arms.

The suspect is described as being six feet tallk with dark skin, short black hair and dark eyes. Greater Sudbury Police are requesting that anyone with information about the crime phone 675-9171, ext. 2609.


Stolen property found after routine traffic stop

Approximately $10,000 of stolen property was recovered after a vehicle was stopped July 12 in a routine traffic check in Chelmsford.

A Sudbury man was charged with possession of break and enter tools, possession of property obtained by crime and driving while disqualified. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with no insurance and using unauthorized plates.
