A 27-year-old man is facing multiple charges after he allegedly entered a Louis Street apartment armed with a knife Jan. 8 at around 11 p.m.
Police say he demanded money from two individuals, assaulted them and prevented them from leaving the apartment.
The suspect was located by Greater Sudbury Police and arrested a short time later.
He has been charged with robbery, extortion and several weapons charges.
It is believed that one of the victims and the accused knew each other. Police consider this to be an isolated incident.
