A 46-year-old Sudbury man tried breaking into a Melvin Street home on June 17, but stopped when he noticed there were people inside. around 9:30 a.m.
He had been trying to force his way through a window when he noticed those inside the home and decided to flee the area. But prior to leaving he threatened the resident not to call the police.
The resident did however call police, who arrested the suspect around 2 p.m. on Shaugnessy Street.
The man has been charged with break and enter with intent, breach of probation and intimidation by threats. He is being held for bail court on June 18.
