A man was charged with obstructing police after providing a false name to Greater Sudbury Police during RIDE checks June 23.

It turned out the suspect was breaching his curfew and court-imposed conditions, a press release said.

The RIDE checks were held at Municipal Road 35 at Pilon Street in Chelmsford, Frood Road at Burton Avenue, Lasalle Boulevard at Gary Avenue and Lasalle Boulevard at Paquette Street.

Police laid one charge of blowing over 80 and one charge of impaired driving. They also issued two 90-day driver's licence suspensions, one three-day driver's licence suspension, and five Highway Traffic Act tickets.

Those tickets included one for driving without a licence and one young driver violation.

A total of 392 vehicles were checked.
