Man charged for going 119 km/h in a 60 km/h zone

A Greater Sudbury police officer was conducting radar near the Falcon Hotel on Nov. 7. The officer observed a vehicle and subsequently clocked it on moving radar at 119 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.

A Greater Sudbury police officer was conducting radar near the Falcon Hotel on Nov. 7. The officer observed a vehicle and subsequently clocked it on moving radar at 119 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. The vehicle was subsequently stopped and it was determined that the driver had been drinking.

Charles Levac, 32, of Halifax, Nova Scotia was charged with the following:
- Impaired Driving
- Driving in Excess of the legal limit 173 mg/100 ml
- Drive Motor Vehicle while performing a stunt 119 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone

A 45 day ADLS suspension and seven day vehicle impoundment was administered against Mr. Levac.
