A 27-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with arson and numerous other charges in relation to a Christmas day fire on Pearl Street.
Wayne Richard Mauricn has been charged with arson (disregard for human life), mischief endangering life, mischief over $5,000, forcible confinement, assault and breach of probation.
Maurice is currently in custody at the Sudbury District Jail awaiting a bail hearing.
Charges were laid following an investigation by Greater Sudbury Police and the Office of the Fire Marshal.
No one was seriously njured in the blaze, which caused substantial damage.
