A 26-year-old Greater Sudbury man, who came to the aid of neighbours, was beaten with a pipe and stabbed several times.
On Dec. 9, Greater Sudbury police responded to a Lorne Street apartment around 10 p.m., after receiving a complaint about a stabbing and home invasion.
A woman and two disguised men, armed with a pipe and a knife, entered the apartment and demanded money from the tenants.
A tenant of the apartment escaped to a neighbouring apartment and called the police. The 26-year-old neighbor intervened and was beaten up and stabbed by the two men.
The man was taken to the hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening, injuries.
The female suspect's identity is thought to be known, but the two men are yet to be positively identified.
Police describe the two men as white and 5-9 and 5-11 tall. One is slim to medium in build (around 160 lbs), while the other is heavier (around 200 lbs). The bigger of the two suspects had a blood-shot eye.
