One Greater Sudbury man has had his driver's licence suspended for three days, and another has received a ticket after a traffic stop by Greater Sudbury Police around 3 a.m., Feb. 26.

When the police stopped a vehicle on the Kingsway, believing the driver may be intoxicated, the passenger in the vehicle stripped off his clothing and dashed down the road in "an apparent effort to distract officers from the driver," stated a police news release.

Police chased down the streaker, a 20-year-old man, and arrested him for public intoxication under the provincial liquor licence act.

The driver, a 19-year-old man, was required to provide a road-side blood-alcohol test, which revealed him to be in the "warn" range. His licence was suspended for three days.
