New sessions of Crime Prevention Acadamey

The Greater Sudbury Police will be holding sessions two and three of the Crime Prevention Academy on Feb. 21 and Feb. 25 from 6 to 8 pm in the Council Chambers, Tom Davies Square.

The Greater Sudbury Police will be holding sessions two and three of the Crime Prevention Academy on Feb. 21 and Feb. 25 from 6 to 8 pm in the Council Chambers, Tom Davies Square. 

Topics for Session two include Home & Property Security, Physical Security, Residential Alarms Program and the Citizens on Patrol Program.

Session three will deal with Personal Safety, Safety at Work and Traveling Alone.


The Crime Prevention Academy course is free and opened to citizens from all walks of life.  Crime Prevention Academy graduate students will find the course valuable in assisting them to develop safe and secure habits and lifestyles.  Graduates will also be able to share their knowledge with family, friends and colleagues or might want to use their knowledge in organizing workshops and awareness sessions in their own neighbourhoods and communities, said a news release.
