Police do not suspect foul play after discovering human remains behind the Dollarama on Long Lake Road, in Sudbury's south end, on Saturday.
Police said Tuesday they identified the man, who was in his early 30s, and have contacted his next of kin. They will not release the victim's name out of respect for his family.
Police said they found the man's body in a small body of water near the Dollarama parking lot.
On Sunday, police conducted a ground search of the area where the body was located, and officers canvassed a neighbourhood near to where the human remains were discovered.
