Pedestrian clipped while crossing intersection

A 63-year-old man was taken to hospital after trying to cross the intersection at Brady and Paris St. Sunday when he was struck by a northbound vehicle driving on a green light.

A 63-year-old man was taken to hospital after trying to cross the intersection at Brady and Paris St. Sunday when he was struck by a northbound vehicle driving on a green light.

Greater Sudbury Police say the man was crossing the busy street contrary to the flashing do not walk signal. The man was treated at the hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The accident closed the intersection for a couple of hours.Police would like to remind all pedestrians to be patient and use the pedestrian cross walk properly and not to cross when prohibited.
