Police find human lower jawbone in Flour Mill

On Sunday around 3 p.m., Greater Sudbury Police were alerted to potential human remains discovered by a resident near Fieldstone Drive in the Flour Mill area of Greater Sudbury.

“Police attended and secured the scene,” a news release said Monday. “It has been confirmed that the found remains are a human lower jaw bone.”

Police are working with the Coroner’s Office to investigate the discovery, the release said. Testing will be done to determine the identity of the individual.
