Greater Sudbury Police are continuing to investigate after a man?s body was found outside a Flour Mill residence in the early morning hours Friday.

Staff Sgt. David Linney said the only information available at Northern Life press deadline Friday was the police had found a male outside a residence at
193 St. Charles St. in one of city?s oldest neighbourhoods.

Several police cruisers were parked outside crime scene tape Friday afternoon as officers canvassed neighbours about what they might have heard or
seen.

A neighbour who lives very close to the scene where the body was recovered, and who did not want her name used, said the deceased male, ?was according to what I?ve heard visiting friends when he was pushed down the stairs...and he died.?

Linney would not reveal whether a homicide investigation was underway or whether police had any suspects in custody.

The neighbour said she awoke at 9 am Friday and police cruisers had surrounded the area. Police crime scene tape has already been put in place.

The only thing she knows about the residence where the man?s body was found was that a woman, her three children and her boyfriend had recently moved into the downstairs unit. Another male, believed to be the woman?s brother, had moved into an upstairs unit.

Neighbours told her a late night party was underway when things got violent.

?Apparently, the guy who pushed the man who died down the stairs has been in a lot of trouble with the law before,? she said.

?That?s all I?ve heard because I?d never met any of the people who moved in.?

She was watching television late Thursday night in her bedroom and didn?t hear any disruptions or excessive noise or violence.

?When I saw the police outside my place...I thought the store up the road had been robbed again,? she said.
