Police investigating home invasion

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a home invasion which took place June 15 in the New Sudbury area. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a home invasion which took place June 15 in the New Sudbury area. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken.

The incident occurred at 5:45 am when two men entered the home of a senior citizen, and covered his head with material to block his view. The suspects demanded cash and fled the scene once they had obtained it.

They fled on foot toward Lasalle Blvd at Barrydowne Rd.

The first suspect is described as a white man in his early 20s, about five-foot-seven, between 130 and 140 pounds with a thin build and shoulder length light brown scraggly hair.

The second is also in his early 20s, about five-foot-one, 110 pounds, extremely thin build, short brown hair and a goatee. He was wearing a black track suit.

Anyone with information is asked to phone police or Crime Stoppers at 675-TIPS.
