Police investigating suspicious death

The Greater Sudbury Police Service is investigating the suspicious death of a 25-year-old Valley East woman.
Police said foul play is suspected.

At approximately 4:30 am on Saturday, Nov. 10, police responded to a 9-1-1 call on Leo St. in Vally East and found a woman deceased. The woman’s identity has not been released.
 
The person of interest in the death, a 14-year-old who cannot be identified under the Young Offenders Act, fled the scene in a pick-up truck but was later apprehended west of Sudbury.
 
“"At this point, we believe there is an association between the two,”" said Staff Sergeant Sheilah Weber of the Greater Sudbury Police Service.
 
However, she was unable to divulge the specific relationship between the deceased and the 14-year-old.
 
Police are continuing the investigation into this death.
