The Greater Sudbury Police Service will be hosting the Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police (OACP) Conference and Global Showcase, which will run from June 21 to June 24.

The festivities will kick-off with a Family Day June 21 from noon to 4 p.m. in the Southridge Mall’s Zellers parking lot. At 3:30 p.m., representatives from the Ontario Provincial Police Golden Helmets and the Winged Wheels Motorcycle Team from the Toronto Police Service will do a precision motorcycle rider demonstration on Long Lake Road just south of Regent Street.

There will be activities and door prizes for the whole family to enjoy, such as dance performances, music from Sudbury Youth Rocks, a mini-putt, hole-in-one, food vendors from around the world and much more.

A variety of emergency vehicles will be on display, along with Obie, the kid’s train from CN Police, which will provide rides throughout the day.

Admission is free and everyone is welcome. A ballot for door prizes will be available at the event or on the GSPS website – www.police.sudbury.on.ca.
