Drug Awareness Week 2007 runs from Nov. 18 to 24.
A number of events are scheduled, beginning with the launch on Nov. 15th at Tom Davies Square at 10 am, at which time the Proclamation will be read.
Also, the Greater Sudbury Police Service, Sudbury FOCUS Community Project and other community groups are setting up a display in conjunction with this event. This will take place at the Rainbow Centre from Nov. 20 to 22.
The public is invited to come out and learn about different projects, resources and issues that face the Sudbury community, while learning interesting facts.
The Drug Awareness Committee is also presenting the second Annual Drug Awareness Week Movie Festival for high school students, which will take place on Thursday, Nov. 29, starting at midnight. The films are being shown at Rainbow Cinemas.
