Police looking for robbery suspects

There's been another armed robbery in the City of Greater Sudbury. At approximately 6 pm Monday, a lone male entered an IDA Pharmacy on Regent Street and demanded the pharmacist turn over a quantity of narcotics.

At approximately 6 pm Monday, a lone male entered an IDA Pharmacy on Regent Street and demanded the pharmacist turn over a quantity of narcotics.

At the time the suspect stated he was in possession of a handgun although one was not displayed.

After receiving an undisclosed amount of drugs, the suspect fled the area on foot. No injuries were reported.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male in his late 20s or early 30s, who stands about five-feet-nine and weighs approximately 140 to 150 pounds.

He had straight black hair with bangs of equal length, similar to the style worn by members of The Beatles when they first came into prominence 40 years ago.

He was also wearing a Royal Blue three-quarter length jacket with dark pants.

The robbery comes a day after a robber held up a Petro Canada gas bar on The Kingsway.

At around 12:40 am Monday, a suspect entered the gas bar and told the clerk he had a shotgun in his possession and demanded money.

The clerk didn't take any chances and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash.

The lone male took off with an unknown quantity of cash. The clerk was not injured.

Police are seeking the public's assistance in tracking down the suspect. He is described as about six feet tall and thin. He was wearing a blue, three-quarter length coat, dark pants and white running shoes.
