Greater Sudbury Police said on their Twitter page that the pedestrian who was hit on Elm Street today was an elderly man. He was transported to hospital by EMS with minor injuries. All lanes on Elm are now fully reopened.

Updated at 12:46 p.m.: Greater Sudbury Police report that the two pedestrians injured in collisions with vehicles in the past hour both suffered only minor injuries.

GSPS spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn said it's likely the person in the wheelchair who was struck at the intersection of Paris Street and John Street was treated at the scene and released, as there's no indication the victim needed to be transported to hospital.

As for the collision on Elm Street near Durham, the victim also suffered minor injuries, but Dunn couldn't provide new information on the person's condition. A lane of Elm Street remains closed while police investigate, she said.

Dunn could not yet provide details about the victims, including age, gender or the extent of their injuries.
